The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide For Homewares Lovers

I’ve been saying for months that it’s time to just call it a year and put up the Christmas tree...but here we are at the end of October and now I’m in a panic about being ready for Christmas! Although I shouldn't complain, especially with the most recent restrictions easing in Melbourne, it is much happier days ahead for us. So, onto gifting! If you’ve got a fellow homewares lover...or need to compile your own wish list to share with your nearest and dearest ;) I’ve put together my favourites and here's hoping I’m on Santa’s “nice” list this year to score some of these goodies for myself.

Sweet Nothings

If you only put one candle on your wish list, make it a Babe Australia candle! Santulum Luxury Soy Candle is my pick, perfect for getting all the party vibes going in your home. Babe candles are developed with bespoke, perfume quality fragrances, designed in collaboration with a third generation French perfumer and will definitely set your home apart from the crowd. Santulum is perfect while entertaining guests, or a lover, over lingering cocktails and dinner. These babies are made in Australia and made with love, ticking all the boxes for gifting this season.

Take Me Home

Marmoset Sound curates stunning vase collections in tonal colours that accentuate your home. You know I have a total weak spot for that right?! I’m adding the Cocoon Vase in Icy Pink to complement my nude blush linen and be the perfect vessel to house a perfect preserved floral arrangement, my go to is August Wildflowers, so you should definitely make an additional note to self (or hubby) to include a bunch of preserved flowers to your gift list, extra brownie points guaranteed.

Basket Case

How many baskets is too many baskets? Asking for a friend ;) A large woven basket is like the Swiss army knife of homewares, honestly, so handy! Baskets make amazing styling accessories in any room, perfect for storing magazines, spare cushions or throws and the ultimate grab and go for a fresh produce haul. I love the Olliella range (can I please have one in every size and design?) My pick is the Caro Basket, I love the seagrass weave for the perfect Summer accessory both in the home and out.

Take It Outside

Whilst I am all about getting the feeling inside my home right, Summer is absolutely the time to get outside, make the most of whatever space you have and create the perfect spot for afternoon cocktails in the sunshine. Even the most average exterior can be enhanced by adding a luxe umbrella, such a versatile gift that can be used at home for entertaining, and out for beach and picnics days too. Business and Pleasure Co get it spot on with their beautiful range, I can’t go past the Antique White Patio Umbrella.

Summer Holiday

After all the lounge room “picnics”, it’s time to embrace the sunshine, it’s got to be the best thing about a summer Christmas and holiday period. Creating your own backyard oasis and enjoying the festive season with loved ones, I’m going to embrace that even more after the year we have had! Gifting a gorgeous “love rug” from Basil Bangs is always a welcome gift (and choose your recipient correctly and you might just get to enjoy some sweet Summer sunshine on the love rug too).

Food Coma

After a festive season of indulging in all the food (and wine) is there anything better than lounging? Gift me an Onyx and Smoke velvet lounger chair and I might just never get up! Their range of loungers, ottomans and floor cushions are just what you want for holiday gatherings, and when it comes to a match made in heaven, linen bedding with a velvet lounger could be the bedroom styling combo of my dreams. If you're a little obsessed with texture and the way things look and feel, a velvet lounger is an ideal gift (nothing wrong with gifting yourself after the year we’ve had right?!)

Get Beached

If you’ve been listening to me for awhile, you’ll be following that I have a love for natural materials, rattan is my go-to for interiors, I love how well it compliments linen. Give me anything real, raw and authentic! Whilst these rattan beach chairs might be beach by name, I am more than happy to have one of these Land and Sand Essentials Rattan Beach Chairs to soak up the sun in my own backyard, and equally as pleased with how gorg they look styled in my home. Oh, and you can invite me for a beach day any day over the summer holidays.

Throw A Party

Now we don’t want to toot our own horn, but, a linen lover’s Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the gift of a little linen right?! Our new linen throws are simply heavenly, nothing will bring your bed styling to climax quite like a throw. It’s the finishing touch, the piece de resistance, that thing that was missing that you couldn’t quite put your finger on. Effortlessly chic, like tousled bed-head hair, a French linen throw is the answer to a magazine worthy bed. Now you just have to make the hardest decision of all, will you go ivory or wheat? Tell hubby you need both ;)

Happy Christmas shopping lovelies!
